By popular demand the club returned to Lasham Gliding Centre for another day’s flying over the Hampshire countryside. At first it looked as though rain might spoil the day but then, exactly as forecast, the skies cleared and the first five gliders took to the air with club members at the controls. Launches were by tow aircraft which took the gliders to around 1,000 feet before releasing them – it was then up to the pilots to locate the thermals that would take them even higher. Those who were not in the air were able to enjoy refreshments or lunch in the club house. Our thanks go to John Luck for organising the day.
